This tool should help simplify and increase biosecurity compliance in swine production facilities.”
The University of Minnesota Swine Group tested the efficacy of the UVZone Shoe Sanitizing Station on 2 industry-crippling swine viruses, PRRSV and PEDV. They concluded that the inactivation of PRRSV was on average, greater than 99% on both rubber and poly-blend materials after 8 seconds. Inactivation of PEDV was on average 98.55% on rubber soles and greater than 99% on polyblend materials after 8 seconds.
